Staffordshire University

Staffordshire University Established in 1914, Staffordshire University is a government university offering various undergraduate, graduate, professional and distance learning programs. The university is divided into six academic departments, including computing and digital technologies, Staffordshire Business School and life sciences and education. In the year 1988, the institution changed its name to Staffordshire Polytechnic, and in 1992, it officially became Staffordshire University. The university raises funds to foster a better, safer and healthier society.

Equipped with the latest technologies and student-friendly amenities, the campus of this university offers a range of activities and a supportive environment. Presently, the university has one main campus called Stroke-on-Tent Campus and two different centers, namely Stafford Centre of Excellence and Shrewsbury Centre of Excellence. The main campus of the university is easily accessible as it is located near the city. The campus has well-connected transportation facilities and libraries that open 24/7 during critical times of the academic year. The Stafford Centre of Excellence has the latest technologies and equipment to support health care learning. Additionally, the Shrewsbury Centre of Excellence located within the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has clinical training facilities and the clinical simulation suite.

Staffordshire University owns Unitemps, which is the official recruiting agency of the institute. It was formed to help businesses recruit talent from the university. It also provides internship opportunities and short-term shift employment services. Around 90% of the recruiters at the university choose to take their interns on as full-time employees. Additionally, internship services offered by Unitemps are divided into Graduate Internship services and Student Internships. To support the financial needs of students, the university grants several funds and allowances. Some of these funds are the Exceptional Learning Support Fund, the Hardship Fund, and the Student Experience Fund.

Home to many notable alumni who are now leading successful careers, Staffordshire University has produced many exceptional leaders and pioneers. The list of prominent alumni of this university is endless and includes names like famous football player Jermaine Allen, artist Alex Frost, Tabloid journalist Emma Jones, Studio potter David Leach and poet Ian McMillan. The university has an online portal named The Staffordshire University Alumni Online, which connects all alumni with the university. It also has an alumni magazine called Horizon, which features famous success stories.
